Globetech's 9th generation of Vesselnet is a state-of-the-art system that is suitable for all types of vessels, from small tugs to large and complex ships. 

Cyber security is one of the main focuses, and the system is designed to be compliant with IMO 2020 guidelines. 

The Vesselnet is a product that has been used and implemented on hundreds of vessels over the last decade using well known and well proven products available on the open market. 

In line with our ISO 14001 certification, the Vesselnet system has a planned lifecycle of 5 years. Meaning that it is designed to last for 5 years with ideally no onboard service visits during the period. 

What is Vesselnet?

In simple terms, Globetech's Vesselnet is a comprehensive ships office and administration system.

It contains servers, a mail solution, client computers, and printers, and is compatible with all sorts of customer specific software such as Tm Master, Star IPS, ShipNet, Unisea, Navtor, Microsoft products etc. It has a secure backup and disaster recovery solution, and features end point protection. All products and software are easily available and well tested in maritime environments. 

Our complementary products Smart Maintenance, Secure Network Infrastructure and Crew Wi-Fi are recommended as a total package.

Governing

At Globetech we use governance as a guideline in all our work. This includes having internal governing documents and a cyber security framework that describes in detail how our system is set up. We are also ISO 9001 and 14001 certified.

Every system delivery is digitally logged and follows a regime of lists and documents that are stored in a filing system archive system. This ensures that we maintain the highest level of quality and compliance in everything we do. The Vesselnet solution is IMO 2020 compliant and each applicable ISM code is broken down to concrete actions. All well documented. 

Lifecycle Management and Sustainability

At Globetech, we handle lifecycle management in a number of ways. Firstly, due to environmental and economical purposes, our Vesselnet is designed for a lifecycle of 5 years. Secondly, all parts delivered from Globetech are logged in our system. This means we can maintain a real time hardware inventory of all IT components connected to the system.

In cases where the existing hardware can be reused, we do. Finally, Globetech has a dedicated team for Lifecycle Management. This team is responsible for ensuring that all systems are updated and maintained in line with the latest standards and regulations. Our goal is that when a system has been implemented on board we do not visit the vessel before a planned system change after 5 years. All maintenance and support is primarily performed remotely to reduce travels and emissions.

24/7 Support and Maintenance

By including proactive effort with system maintenance and modern safety requirements, we ensure that our clients can use systems that is optimized and withstand the test of time.
