Privileged Access Management (GT PAM)
Secure and auditable access to vessel IT and OT systems.
GT PAM creates a secure control layer between external users and critical systems on board. Access is identity-verified, approval-based and time-limited, credentials stay protected in a vault, and every session is logged and recorded. One platform, fleet-wide governance.
What you get
- No VPN required — web-based vendor access without traditional VPN tunnels
- Credentials protected — sent from the vault, never exposed to the user
- Full traceability — session logging and recording for audits and reporting
- Evidence for IACS UR E26/E27, IMO and NIS2 audits
How it works
- 1
Request
The vendor or supplier requests access through the web portal.
- 2
Verify
Identity and MFA are checked before the request proceeds.
- 3
Approve
The defined approver grants time-limited access.
- 4
Connect
The vault injects credentials and the jump station relays the session.
- 5
Access
The user reaches only the approved IT, OT or vessel system — logged and recorded throughout.
Frequently asked questions
Which vendors need PAM?
Anyone who connects remotely to onboard systems: engine and automation suppliers, navigation vendors, your own IT — and Globetech. Every session is approved, recorded and expires.
Does it work when the vessel is offline?
Access requests queue until a link is available; local break-glass procedures are defined with the master.
Who is it for?
It was built first for OT vendors, and works just as well for IT vendors, management companies and owners. One platform covers all external access: vendors, crew and technicians, with central control across the fleet.
What does it need on board?
GT PAM is delivered as a service and runs on a Globetech GTX unit on the vessel. Vessels that have had our new LAN setup already have one. It is designed for maritime architecture and works over low-bandwidth links.
How is it licensed?
By the number of concurrent remote users across the fleet, which can be increased at any time. Operation of the solution is included. We also help you set the policies and routines for who gets access, and have templates to start from.
