Firstpoint delivered the same services as Globetech within maritime ICT: operations, support and IT services for vessels and shipowners. The company therefore fits straight into what we already do, and into how we do it.
Access to talent
Gdynia is part of the Tri-City area, in the middle of a cluster of universities that every year produce many new graduates in maritime ICT. The industry is becoming ever more digital, and the right skills are getting harder to find. That makes this an important advantage for us: with the acquisition we have gained a team in Poland and a good location for recruiting new specialists.
What does it mean for customers?
You get more capacity and more specialists working for you. Deliveries connect across borders, with the same quality and the same point of contact as before. The acquisition has also brought new customers, who now get access to the full Globetech platform.
The company is now called Globetech Poland Sp. z o.o. and is based in Gdynia.
